All Together Now: S 5th & E 26th

Guest photographer: Maura K. Lynch

Mike Wright posted some of these elements individually, but it's fun to see them in context, as Maura snapped them from her car window on her drive to work.

This Is Not a Flower.

I see we photogs are all losing our minds for spring flowers.
But this one is really a photo of a bug!

An Elegant Forsythia Complements An Elegant Mansion

The forsythia bush seems to know its place in the shadow of the mansion.  Yet its delicacy almost outshines the weight of the building.

Crocus Poking Through The Leaves

This bright yellow crocus is undeterred by the leaf and twig litter, even boldly reflecting its color off the twig to the right.

One Month Late

Thank you to  Madeline Douglass for e-mailing us this photo of the Bardwell-Ferrant house at 2500 Portland in West Phillips decorated for Valentine's Day.

She sent it for Feb. 14, and I only now––one month later––rescued it from our pile of e-mail.

Jupiter And Venus, An Affair Of The Night Sky

I originally took a photo with my camera, then took a picture with my phone of the camera display.    The actual photo on the camera looks normal.  Maybe I'll have to play with this 'accident'.  Is the phone camera seeing somthing I don't see with my eyes?

Two Birds In A Tree

I think the one on the left is a female or immature cardinal (sounded like one), and the one on the right might be a robin.  I didn't even see the robin when I was trying to photograph the cardinal.

Sagging Low

This picture by Minneapolis yarn artist Hot Tea has survived the winter, but the once tight and crisp-edged figure is sagging dangerously near the alligator's mouth (or is that a crocodile?).
