Meet the Photographers

Francesca Davis DiPiazza began gluing photos and stuff into scrapbooks when she was nine, before "scrapbook" was a verb. She got all excited when she came across her first neighborhood 365 project online (Powderhorn365.com), seeing it as a big extended family photo album. Participating in a 365 blog pushes her to be just a little braver and curiouser than she might be otherwise.
Mike Wright moved to Minneapolis in the summer of 2008, and found it wonderful. I love the community, the people, the buildings, the summer flowers, the art and culture, the food and the drink. Shortly after coming here I was given a DSLR camera, which allowed me to catalogue the city I had chosen to live in. I have had a lot of fun living here, and have not found an end to the photographs I want to take. If there any things happening on a Wednesday you think deserves photographing, or anything of beauty that we should share with the world let me know and I'd love to come and see it through my Canon lens.
Jo Ann Musumeci has been enamored with photography since she snapped a photo with a Brownie Hawkeye at the age of 12.  She likes to try different cameras, including medium format, to be creative with Photoshop, print on various papers, and combine photos with other media.  She often uses photos for a visual journal of trips, and now to create a visual journal of our diverse and fascinating neighborhoods.

Matt Barthelemy is far from being a professional photographer. But what he lacks in photography skills he more than makes up for in enthusiasm for highlighting cool and interesting things going Whittier and the broader Mpls community. He is excited and honored to be a part of this awesome blog.
