The wonderful book Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance was published this week in 1974. Some of it was written above Roberts Shoes, on Chicago and Lake. I wonder if it was snowing on that day back then.

What a dilemma.  I took a few shots with the flash which looked better but didn't show the fabulous shadows.  The shadows are what inspired me to take the shot in the first place, so there you have them.
