A bicyclist rides by Smith Foundry--at 1855 E. 28th St. conveniently located, at one time, adjacent to the Soo Line Railroad, now the Midtown Greenway--not shown, to the left of the Foundry; since 1923 the company has been providing casting services for producing many engineered components of modern equipment and machinery.
