Most Happy Fellows

At first I thought these statues were lions that you often find (guarding?) at walkway or doorway entrances.  But they are jovial Buddha-like figures with instruments.

Washington's Toes

George Washington
Washburn-Fair Oaks Park, 24th Street and Stevens Ave.

I like the way George's toes extend out over the base of the statue.

This is a copy of a statue by Jean Antoine Houdon at the Virginia State Capitol. It was a gift to the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board at the bicentennial of Washington's birth, 1931.

Children's Hospital at night

I love this sculpture, I took some of it last week, I love it when the sun falls on it, and under artificial lighting it is pretty awesome as well. I think this new building is very nice to look at.
