Go fetch!

This woman was using a ball launcher to throw snowballs as well as a tennis ball for her Golden, along the Greenway.

They seem to be guarding the silk poinsettias planted in their yard's border.

Waiting in Line

With the weather so dry, I put out water for the local scruffians. Here we see--through a screen door--a squirrel waiting its turn while another drinks.

Banded Pennant Dragonfly

I was working in my yard and saw this beautiful dragonfly resting on my fence post.
Quoted from Wikepedia:
"The Banded Pennant (Celithemis fasciata) is a dragonfly found in North America, in the Pennant genus of dragonflies. The extensive, sharply defined black markings on its wings are distinctive, though the pattern varies considerably; individuals from the northern part of its range tend to have less wing coloration."

This Is Not a Flower.

I see we photogs are all losing our minds for spring flowers.
But this one is really a photo of a bug!

Deer Head

As I drive to work along 5th Ave S., this mounted deer head greets me  just north of 26th St.

Sparrow Silhouette

One more time at my favorite wildlife haunt, the edge of the K-Mart parking lot.
